FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW MUCH DOES A BOOTH COST AT SHE FEST? All 501(c) non-profits and community groups may participate free of charge. Registration for merchandising / vendors / small businesses is $40 by May 1, 2020. Corporate registration is $100 by May 1, 2020. Registration after May 1, 2020 is subject to availability and a higher registration cost ($55 for merchandising / vendors / small businesses and $135 for corporate registrations). A select number of hardship scholarships are available (email email@example.com for more information). You will not be asked to pay until AFTER your application has been received and reviewed.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I SUBMIT MY BOOTH APPLICATION? You will be notified by a She Fest team member about application decisions on a rolling basis, but no later than May 15, 2020. Applications are reviewed to ensure harmony with She Fest's mission statement and expressed purpose of inclusivity. If your application is accepted, you will be given further directions including payment and event information. Day of logistics are typically available closer to the event. Do not hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I EXPRESS MY INTEREST IN HOSTING A WORKSHOP? A She Fest team member will follow-up with you for more details. The deadline to apply is May 1, 2020, but we will be following up on a rolling basis with applicants. If your workshop is selected, from there we will work with you to determine details including logistics, publicity, and exact workshop content.
WHAT IS THE SIZE OF A BOOTH SPACE AT SHE FEST? Each booth space, unless otherwise noted and previously agreed upon, is 10' x 10'. Canopies or some form of sun shade are strongly recommended. Booths are predominantly located on dirt/grass and some concrete. Stakes are not permitted.
HOW MANY BOOTHS ARE AT SHE FEST? The current layout of She Fest permits up to 60 booths.
WHAT IF I REQUIRE ELECTRICITY? She Fest is unable to supply electricity for booths: however, you are welcome to bring your own generator.
WHAT ABOUT WASTE DISPOSAL? There will be trash crews regularly emptying out trash and recycle bins.
TERMS & AGREEMENTS:
EQUIPMENT: All equipment is the responsibility of the exhibitor to make sure it is up to current code and standards.
CANCELLATIONS: Must be made by June 1, 2020 for a full refund. No refunds will be offered after June 1, 2020.
ELECTRICITY: She Fest 2020 is unable to provide electricity -- you must supply your own electricity, if desired.
LICENSES AND PERMITS: All exhibitors are responsible for obtaining the required applicable licenses and permits. State and local sales tax collection and remittance is exhibitor responsibility. For more information, please visit http://www.boe.ca.gov/permits_licenses.htm
PAYMENT: Payment (if applicable) is due within 14 days of receiving confirmation that your application has been approved.
BOOTH STAFFING: She Fest is from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. All booths must be staffed during these hours.
SET UP, HOURS OF OPERATION & PROMISE TO VACATE: Vendors are allowed to set up in their assigned space between 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2020. As a courtesy to other exhibitors, please do not set up anything outside your marked area. Exhibitors are not allowed to obstruct the view or adversely affect the display of other exhibitor. Setup must be completed 1 hour prior to event start time. There will be a loading zone available. Please unpack your car, park, and then set up your booth. After the close of the event, exhibitors must remove all displays and merchandise from the booth. Breakdown must be completed no later than 7pm, Saturday, July 11th, 2020.
CODE OF CONDUCT:
ALCOHOL: Consumption of alcoholic beverages by exhibitors at their booth is grounds for immediate expulsion and/or exclusion from participation at future events.
ANTI-DISCRIMINATION: She Fest prides itself on offering a unique event that is inclusive and representative of members belonging to the LGBTQ+ community and those that are intentional allies. We welcome any community member of any gender identity or sexuality that feels at home with “she” and wants to help us celebrate what “she” means to them. By agreeing to this code of conduct, you agree to do nothing contrarian to She Fest's explicit goal of being an inclusive and safe space. More explicitly, should your organization enlist policies that exclude trans and non-binary members of our community, we invite you to not apply to be a vendor at She Fest. We encourage exhibitors and volunteers to be their very best selves and treat our guests with dignity and respect. I, the undersigned, hereby agree to participate in She Fest 2020 at my own risk and am subject to all rules and regulations of this event. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless San Diego Pride / She Fest, The City/County of San Diego and its officers, employees and agents, all San Diego Pride / She Fest sponsors, and anyone involved in the support and/or production of this event against any legal proceedings for any personal injury or property damage arising from or occasioned by our company or my representatives. She Fest 2020 has the right to refuse or ask an exhibitor to leave the event if the exhibitor does not meet the standards and safety requirements provided in this application or whom are found selling illegal drugs, alcohol, paraphernalia, or other illegal items. I, the undersigned, agree to take full responsibility for any real or potential loss of profit due to my involvement in the She Fest 2020 and for any other reasons. These reasons include, but are not limited to natural or man-made disasters. I, the undersigned, have read and agreed to all the items and conditions stated in this contract.
