In this improv workshop for middle schoolers, participants will unleash their creativity with fun improv games and scene work!! During this 3 hour workshop, we will introduce some short-form improv games that allow for creativity and collaboration. We will also introduce some of the basic skills of long-form improv and explore those elements within improvised scenes. Come learn some new improv skills and meet new people in a welcoming and positive environment!!
This workshop is open to people currently enrolled in grades 6th through 8th at any school or program. There will be individual and group work involved as well as light to moderate physical activity. *Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable footwear and clothing.
The workshop will run from 10 am-1 pm with a short break. Participants are welcome to bring their own food/drink, bringing a refillable water bottle is encouraged as we have a water cooler in the theater. There will be water, soda, and snacks (candy bars, chips, etc) available for purchase. Cash or credit accepted. There is a restroom available.
**After drop-off, parents/guardians will not be permitted to remain in the theater and watch during the workshop.
