2020 Golden Farmers Market Schedule:
Saturdays, May 30 - October 3 (excluding Buffalo Bill Days on July 27)
8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Golden Library Parking Lot, 1019 10th Street, Golden, CO 80401
Seasonal Enrollment Fee is $125. Golden Chamber of Commerce members receive a discounted rate of $75 to enroll in the market.
Daily market fees are 10% of total sales per day plus sales tax paid to the City of Golden (3%).
SETUP: All vendors are responsible for personal booth set-up. No vehicles will be permitted to drive through market beginning fifteen (15) minutes prior to market opening and fifteen (15) minutes after market closing. Vendors should be set up and ready to sell by market opening and will keep all products set-up until market closes.
Vendors must be at market site no later than 30 minutes prior to start of each market.
All tents must be weighted. We recommend 30 lbs. or more securely attached to each corner. Vendors will not be able to set up without weights!
Hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. You must be set up and ready by 7:45 a.m. and no tear down before 1:00 p.m. is allowed.
No vehicles are allowed through the market area during operating hours for safety reasons. Feel free to load in or out by hand, wagon, dolly, etc but no vehicles.
Booth must be manned during all operating hours of the Golden Farmers Market, 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Marketing materials, banners, and tableclothes are encouraged.
There is NO electricity available
Parking will be in the designated area only for all vendors and business spotlight booth vendors. Make sure all staff working the event understand where to park and that they will need to use the shuttle service to arrive at the farmers market after set up is complete. Parking will be in an offsite lot. You may go to the market area with your vehicle for set up, but will need to move it to the parking area and take the shuttle back to the market once set up is complete.
No dogs/pets, no smoking or alcohol, and no music allowed
BOOTH ASSIGNMENTS: The market manager assigns spaces. Participants are typically able to keep the same space. However, the market manager reserves the right to reassign spaces as deemed necessary each week. Participants expected on any market day must notify the manager 24 hours in advance if they are unable to attend. Vendors missing a market without notification must contact manager to verify space for the following week.
Booths will not be held for late vendors (8:00 a.m. or later).
Vendors must maintain the space assigned to them in a clean and sanitary condition. The space must be left in clean condition when leaving. Trash must be taken to the provided trash/recycle/compost receptacles.
No smoking or consumption of alcohol by vendors in the market area.
All vendors will be cleared out of the market area as soon as possible after the market closes so that the parking lot may be re-opened to the public.
MARKET FEES: At the close of the market vendors must completely and accurately fill out and submit a market sales report plus the required 10% fees (cash or check) to the market manager or a staff member. Reports must be turned in after market closes.
CITY SALES TAX: All local and state taxes are the sole responsibility of the vendor. At the conclusion of the 2020 market season, the Golden Chamber of Commerce will coordinate the payment of City Sales Tax with any vendors that do not already hold a separate City Sales Tax license. Vendors will submit to the Golden Chamber of Commerce sales tax collected for 2020 season and Golden Chamber will remit sales tax to the City of Golden. Vendors that currently hold a City Sales Tax for the City of Golden will remit sales tax directly to the City. City of Golden sales tax is 3%.
PRODUCTS: The Golden Farmers Market emphasizes products that are Colorado or locally produced, and farm, garden or artisan products and approved by the Market in advance to ensure high quality for our customers and successful sales for our vendors.
LICENSING, PERMITS AND INSURANCE: It is the responsibility of the vendor to have valid insurance for participation in this market. A copy of vendor coverage will be required upon approval of your application. Additionally, all permits, business licenses and taxes are the responsibility of the vendor.
The market manager and other market staff members have the authority to enforce these regulations and to exclude non-conforming growers/vendors.
