FENS-KAVLI SCHOLARS COHORT 2021-2025

Eligible candidates are encouraged to self-apply. In addition, each FENS member society may nominate a maximum of two candidates (gender balance in these nominations is encouraged).

All applications must include two supporting letters from internationally renowned neuroscientists. Applications must be submitted online (this form) by 30 January 2021 (23.00 o'clock, Brussels time).

1. Candidate information

Curriculum Vitae (upload document of maximum three pages)

Please upload a CV file that clearly addresses the following items:

• Current position and affiliation; including amount of time dedicated to research;
• Previous positions and affiliations;
• If applicable indicate the reasons for any career breaks or leaves of absence (e.g. due to maternity leave);
• List of publications, highlighting the 5-10 most relevant;
• Personal prizes, awards, fellowships, grants etc.;
• Leadership/ organisational activities;
• Memberships of scientific societies, editorial boards etc.;
• Invited lectures;
• Knowledge transfer (industrial innovation, outreach to lay public etc.);
• Other responsibilities.

IMPORTANT: CV files exceeding 3 pages will not be considered.

2. Motivation to join the FENS-Kavli Network

 

The multidisciplinary, international Network of FENS-Kavli Scholars is self-organised and aims to improve Neuroscience in Europe and beyond through scientific exchange, providing opportunities for young scientists, and facilitating dialogue between scientists, policy-makers, and society. FKNE Scholars participate in ~2 meetings per year that allow for lively discussion of a range of topics across Neuroscience as well as challenges and opportunities for European neuroscientists.
