Our mission is to mentor and empower Latino/Latina students through educational and cultural opportunities, while creating programs that promote academia.
Our vision is to promote educational opportunities for Latino/Latina students, while developing the mindset that’s focused on success for students in the Pomona Unified School District.
To recognize, support and encourage Latino/Latina graduating seniors who have demonstrated a commitment to culture, community and education.
1. Must be a high school senior in Pomona Unified School District.
2. Must have been accepted into an accredited institution and planning to attend in the fall following high school graduation.
3. Must have GPA of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate a track record of community service.
4. Must attend the Latino Family Symposium scheduled for Saturday, February 29th, 2020 at the PUSD Conference Center.
Key Dates & Information:
LEAP will be awarding a minimum thirty (30) scholarships. Scholarships will be $250 or $500.
Scholarship recipients will be notified on or before April 15th, 2020.
Scholarships will be presented at the Raza Graduation event on Friday, May 8th, 2020. The event will begin at 6:00pm and is being held at the PUSD District Office in the Auditorium or alternate location TBD.
