Technology Based Positions
Patron Greeter/Check-In Specialist
These individuals are the first CAC Volunteers that our patrons are greeted with. The patrons come into the facility and are checked into our system entering their information into our cloud-based platform.
Recommended Skills:
Ability to type accurately on a provided mobile device.
Good communication skills
Be able to stand for various lengths of time
Upbeat personality to energize our patrons
Working Time: November 6th, during the event.
Auction Specialists
These individuals help run the various auctions we have going on all about the same time. They would be working within the one station throughout the night and would also be assisting with the disbursement of the patrons winnings at the end of the event. We have several formats in which we do auctions, we have Live Auctions, Silent Auctions, Dollar Raffle, Banana Auctions, just to name a few.
Recommended Skills:
Be familiar with spreadsheets, Google Docs or Microsoft Excel.
Be able to perform basic lookup commands, and cross reference auction items.
Be able to type on various devices such as smart phone, tablets or laptops.
Have good communication skills
Be able to stand for various lengths of time
Upbeat personality to energize our patrons
Working Time: November 6th, during the event.
General Positions
Solicitors
We ask all of our volunteers to go out and solicit for any kind of donations they can muster. This is crucial to have a successful event, without donations we won’t be able to host the auctions in such a way that we currently do. Donated items will need to be secured by the solicitor and delivered to a CAC Meeting, the Office or the WyoSecurity (basket assembly location)

Working Time: As much as possible all the way up to the event date.
Assembly Team
As we get closer to the event, the donations that we receive start to come in rather quickly. On the Assembly team, you will work with other volunteers to create works of art out of the donated items in the form of baskets. This team is also in charge of capturing photos of their creations and ensuring proper tracking of donated items by means of entry into the Cloud-Based Platform.

Decorations Team
It takes a team working together to transform our event hall into the masterpiece that captures everyone’s attention from the moment they walk into the room. If you have ever been to one of our events, you can honestly say that you haven’t seen that room change in such drastic ways than it does with Cowboys Against Cancer. It is truly a spectacular site.

Working Time: Two days prior to event all the way till the doors open on Saturday.
Setup/Strike Team
These individuals help us move stuff from one location (storage buildings, offices, etc.) to the event hall. They also help us setup and secure various tables, run cables, setup stages.
Recommended Skills:
Not afraid to get a little dirty
Helps if you are ok with some heights (limited as much as possible)
Can carry items for a bit of a distance
Working Times: Soon as we can start setting up for the event till the time the doors open. Also the day after the event striking everything.
