Lock-In is fast approaching, and we want you to help shape it by joining the Lock-In Steering Committee!
Lock-In is an up-all-night BBYO experience from 11:00pm-7:00am, packed with arcade games, mini-golf, laser tag, karaoke, food, and more. Taking place February 28-March 1, Lock-In also serves as the official launch of Rush Month, making it one of the most exciting and impactful events of the year.
Steering Committee members work alongside the Regional Mazkirim and Gizborim to help bring Lock-In to life by shaping three key areas:
- Theme – setting the tone and vibe of the event through promotion, décor, music, and activities
- Communications – creating social media graphics, event signage, and how Lock-In is presented to the community
- Fundraiser – leading our annual Lock-In fundraising tradition, where creativity (and a little chaos) helps us raise money in a memorable way
If selected, you will be expected to attend three in-person Steering Committee meetings, all taking place at the Schwartz/Reisman Centre in Vaughan from 5:30-7:00pm on:
- Thursday, January 15
- Thursday, February 5
- Thursday, February 19
You will also be expected to attend Lock-In, taking place Saturday, February 28 at 11:00pm through Sunday, March 1 at 7:00am. As always, scholarships are available — please reach out with any questions about the scholarship process.
The application deadline is Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 11:59 PM. You will be notified of our selections as soon as possible following the deadline. If you have any questions about applying for Lock-In Steering, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
Sincerely,
