Suggestions for 1% local sales tax AKA "penny tax"
Consumers pay a 1% tax when buying locally in Lancaster County. The goal is to raise revenue for capital projects without touching property taxes or using debt.

The current tax runs out in May 2022, but voters will be asked to approve a new one during the 2020 general election so that the flow of money can continue without interruption.
