  • Background Check Authorization and Release

  • A background check is required periodically for each Employee:

  • 1. In connection with my application for employment and/or continued employment, I understand that a consumer report or an investigative consumer report may be requested that will include information as to my character, work habits, performance, and experience, along with reasons for termination of past employment. I understand that as directed by my company policy and consistent with the job described, you may be requesting information from public and private sources about my workers compensation injuries and claims, driving record, court record, education, references and credit. Also, I am willing to submit to drug testing to detect the use of illegal drugs prior to and during employment.

  • 2. Medical and workers compensation information will only be requested in compliance with the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and/or any other applicable state laws. According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, I am entitled to know if employment is denied because of information obtained by my prospective employer from a consumer-reporting agency. If so, I will be notified and given the name and address of the agency or the source, which provided the information.

  • 3. I acknowledge that a fax or photocopy shall be as valid as the original.

  • 4. I hereby authorize, without reservation, any law enforcement agency, institution, information service bureau, school, employer, reference or Insurance Company be contacted by Mortgage Right or its agent, to furnish the information described herein.

  • 5. I agree, that this authorization shall remain in effect from the date of my affixed signature, and as long as I remain employed by Mortgage Right. This authorization will be utilized, periodically, to update employee background information. The following information is required by law enforcement agencies, local, state and federal, and other entities for positive identification purposes when checking public records. It is confidential and will not be used for any other purposes. I hereby release the employer and agents and all persons, agencies, and entities providing information on reports about me from any and all liability arising out of the requests for release of any of the above-mentioned information or reports.

    Thank you for expressing interest in MortgageRight. This acknowledgment is intended to serve as a notice of the company’s policies and best practices for candidates being considering for employment.

    MortgageRight recognizes that your relationships with borrowers and referral sources are important to your success. If you decide to join our team, we will begin putting pieces in place to make sure your transition is as smooth as possible leading up to your start date. As you close loans and work through any notice period with your current employer, we recognize that you may inform previous clients and referral partners of your plans to join our team. If you have clients that express interest in working with MortgageRight they will need to make applications directly through our ConsumerConnect platform. Our Transition Team consists of licensed loan originators and loan assistants that will work specifically to ensure the highest level of service to any new applicants. As a reminder, until you are officially a MortgageRight employee you cannot be actively involved in processing or originating loans with our company and our team cannot accept borrower information from you or anyone on your team. This certifies we meet requirements in regard to borrower privacy and helps you maintain your fiduciary responsibility to your current employer.

    When you become an employee of MortgageRight, you will be given access to our loan origination system, the DiscoverRight intranet, and full access to our internal marketing team. Please do not take borrower details or proprietary information from your current employer. Following these steps will help ensure a quick start and smooth transition to MortgageRight.
