Alfred M. Wellner Lifetime Achievement
Award for Practice
This award, named in honor of the National Register’s first Executive Officer, is the highest honor bestowed by the National Register. It commemorates numerous, significant contributions to psychology during a distinguished career of a National Register credentialed psychologist.
The practice award will be presented to a psychologist who has demonstrated—via clinical innovation, outreach, legislation, community engagement, or policy and social advocacy—that they have advanced the standing of health service psychology.
Applications are due August 1, 2024.
Eligibility:
- Candidates must submit a current CV and a nomination letter. Please review upload details below to ensure your application provides the required information.
- Candidates must be actively credentialed National Register Health Service Psychologists.
- Candidates must have accrued at least 10 years of postdoctoral experience.
The National Register Awards Committee is interested in outstanding achievement in areas such as:
- Advocacy at the local, state, and national level
- Mentoring and/or training psychology students
- Championing highest standards of ethical practice in psychology
- Designing of patient-focused community programs
