Don't judge a pepper by its color! The Bridge to Paris Pepper is very, very sweet.
It's been a favorite on the farm over the years and is one of our original offerings. Many other local farmers and gardeners agree as we see as this capsicum performing year after year with vigorous plants that are loaded with whopping 8” cones of sweetness.
We have our friends at Kimberton CSA In PA to thank, who spent many seasons disentangling the hybrid ‘La Paris’ pepper variety. Phillies Bridge Farm Project in Gardiner took on the baton and it was there that our founder Ken originally gained the seed, about 13 years ago. . Since then, we’ve been selecting for big, uniform peppers and sweetness. Frying, roasting, raw, Bridge to Paris is exceptional in the kitchen. indeed, this variety tastes so great that Lagustas luscious, the fabled vegan confectioner in New Paltz, NY, uses Bridge to Paris to make an amazing caramel sweet!
