Deposit and Payment
Tuition is $180 per month, per day of the week enrolled (so, if attending two days a week, tuition will be $360 per month, and so on). Tuition is based on a 10-month (September-June) commitment and is divided into 10 payments. If a student joins partway through the school year, tuition will be prorated to reflect the month they begin attending classes.
Upon registration, a deposit equal to one month's tuition will be due. This deposit will be applied to the last month's tuition. The deposit is not refundable or transferable at any time.
Tuition payments will be due the 1st of each month. There will be a 5% late fee for payments made after the 5th of the month.
Tuition discounts of 5% are given to families who pay the year in full prior to September 1st. Siblings enrolled in our programs receive a 10% discount.
Your child's adjustment is important to all of us. Therefore, the 30-day period following the beginning of a program is considered a trial period. At any time during this period, if parent(s)/guardian(s) and/or Forest School staff determine that the program is not a good fit for the child, either party may terminate upon immediate notice. After the trial period, Cancellation provisions outlined below will apply.
Cancellation and Refund
Cancellation requests must be made by filling out a Withdrawal Form
30-day notice must be given for withdrawal from the program, or for a change in enrollment, such as reducing the number of days attending. If less than 30-day notice is given before a change of enrollment or a withdrawal from the program, tuition must be paid through 30 days from the time notice of withdrawal is given. Any tuition that has been paid beyond those 30 days will be refunded.
If a participant is withdrawn more than 30 days before the start date of the program, any tuition paid will be refunded in full, minus the deposit.
If any duration of a program is canceled by Camp Roots:
If we find it necessary to cancel due to inclement weather, unsafe conditions, or circumstances out of our control, we are unable to offer refunds
In situations other than those listed above, tuition will be fully refundable.
Medical Reason for Cancellation
We understand that medical issues may arise unexpectedly and at any time. Please email us as soon as possible to inform us of your need to cancel, and submit a written excuse from your child's physician. We will make our best effort to transfer your camper into another comparable program within the same year. If we are unable to transfer your camper, tuition will be fully refundable, minus the deposit.
We are unable to offer make-up days.
Expectations and Dismissal
Camp Roots is committed to maintaining a safe environment that allows children the freedom to play, learn, explore, and create. If we believe a child is unable to adhere to our rules and safety guidelines, they will be denied admission. If a child exhibits behavior that is unsafe or interferes with the rights of others, they will be dismissed from the program. Camp Roots reserves the right at its sole discretion to refuse an application or dismiss a child from the program. No refund will be given if a child is dismissed from the program under these circumstances.
