• DBIS Student Chromebook Loan Agreement

  • Discovery Bay International School (DBIS) aims to ensure that all students have ready access to adequate mobile computing resources in order to provide high quality education to the students at the School.

    To ensure this, the school may loan a Chromebook to students for a limited period under specific circumstances and at the discretion of the School.  

    Students and parents should read the agreement and the attached Conditions of Acceptance and sign in the fields provided below.


  • This Agreement is made on:

  • BETWEEN Discovery Bay International School (further referred to as the “School”) AND



  • (further referred to as the "Student").

  • This Agreement will take effect upon receipt of the Chromebook from the School. The School reserves the right to retain or transfer the Chromebook to another eligible Student if the Student does not, or is unable to, for any reason, fulfill any of the requirements of this Agreement, or if the Chromebook shall be returned to the School in accordance with any terms of this Agreement.

    Under this Agreement the School will, at its sole discretion, provide the Student with:

    • a Chromebook equipped with the necessary apps and extensions to prepare educational materials;
    • instruction, coaching and ongoing support on how to use the Chromebook;
    • ongoing technical support, as determined by the School’s IT staff, for hardware and software to keep the Chromebook working well;
    • a warranty upon purchase of the Chromebook by the School;
    • WiFi access at School.

    Substitution of Equipment
    In the event that the Chromebook is inoperable, the School has a limited number of spare Chromebooks for use while the Chromebook is being repaired or replaced. This agreement remains in effect for the substitute. If a student forgets to bring their Chromebook or power charger to school, a substitute will not be provided.

    Governing Law
    This agreement shall be construed and governed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of Hong Kong courts.
