I fully understand that the animal(s) I am interacting with are the property of Rescue Animals in Need Inc.

I fully understand that I am voluntarily acting as a volunteer as an unpaid service to Rescue Animals in Need Inc

I understand that I may not under any circumstance give away, sell or lose any animals without the written permission of Rescue Animals in Need Inc. I understand that in the event that I lose this animal I will be responsible to Rescue Animals in Need Inc for the full adoption fee of the animal.

I fully understand that Rescue Animals in Need Inc makes every effort to maintain healthy animals. Any signs of disease, injury, or other abnormalities are noted to the best abilities of Rescue Animals in Need Inc. I understand that it is not always possible to know when an animal is incubating a disease or has genetic defects causing it to become ill after placement in a foster home. If at any time I become aware of a health or behavioral issue, I will contact Rescue Animals in Need Inc. immediately.

I understand that I must call to have an authorized member of Rescue Animals in Need Inc. pre-arrange all veterinary appointments with their specified veterinarian. The only exceptions are life and death situations where emergency care is vital.

I assume personal responsibility for the humane and loving care of any of their animals while preforming my volunteer work.

I will not use any animals for fighting, occult activity, or laboratory research of any type.

Furthermore, I will not knowingly surrender any animals into any of these or similarsituations.

If I am working with any of the cats, they will not be let outdoors. If I am working with any of the dogs, they will not be left totally outdoors and will only be allowed outdoors in an enclosed yard or while on a leash and will be supervised at all times.

Children may not be allowed to volunteer unless over the age of 16 or fully supervised by a parent or legal guardian for any length of time.

I understand that in the case of inhumane and/or cruel treatment to any animals while in my care, that I am in breach of this contract and the animal will be returned to Rescue Animals in Need Inc. immediately and I will no longer be allowed to volunteer for RAIN. Furthermore, in the case of inhumane and/or cruel treatment of this animal, I could face prosecution under local, state, and federal laws and will be liable for any medical care and other costs incurred by RAIN.

I understand that if I can no longer volunteer, I will contact a representative from Rescue Animals in Need to arrange for coverage of my times, giving a minimum of 48 hours notice.

I understand that if any of the supplies are not returned to Rescue Animals in Need Inc., I will be responsible for replacing them at my own cost.

I agree that all arrangements to adopt out any animals and all adoption fees must behandled by an authorized Rescue Animals in Need Inc. representative.

I agree to immediately return any supplies, animals, etc. at the request of Rescue Animals in Need Inc.

I hereby release Rescue Animals in Need Inc. of any and all liabilities for damages or injuries caused by any volunteer activities.

I understand that in signing this agreement to become a volunteer, the conditions above are in full force. I also agree to be kind and loving to any animals within RAIN and agree to notify. Rescue Animals in Need Inc. of any changes in my personal situation that may affect the rescue.

I agree to hold harmless Rescue Animals in Need Inc. their officers and employees for any damages and/or injuries incurred to myself, my pets, or any other person or property while acting as a volunteer. The risk of injury from the activities involved in this adoption program is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist.
I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation in this volunteer program, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS Rescue Animals in Need Inc. their directors, officers, officials, agents, volunteers and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event (“RELEASEES”), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

I HAVE READ AND AGREE TO THE TERMS ABOVE INCLUDING THE RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT. Failure to provide inaccurate information will result in immediate termination of this agreement.

As a parent or guardian of the above mentioned volunteer, I hereby give my consent to allow my child to volunteer services for RAIN as described in this volunteer agreement. On behalf of myself and my child, I agree to all terms and conditions as set out in this agreement. If my child is under 16 years of age, I agree to supervise all activities at all times.
