First and foremost, thank you for your interest in fostering a dog, cat, small animal, reptile, amphibian, equine, farm/barn animal, or other animal for NARPS! By fostering one of our animals, you are helping to save even more animals in the future by making room for us to help others in need! We work hard to provide the best care and future for the animals entrusted in our care, so we want to make sure that each placement is the best match possible for the animal and their foster family! If you have what it takes and are willing to make this commitment, please continue on with this application! We look forward to you joining our foster team if you're approved as fosters are the backbone of NARPS!
Please provide detailed information for all questions and answer them with 100% honesty.
To qualify for fostering, you must:
- Be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's license, passport or state Identification Card stating your current address;
- Own your home or be able to provide proof of approval by landlord/property owner; and
- Have the necessary means and ability to provide adequate time, care and love to the fostered pet.
Please note: We reserve the right to refuse foster approval to anyone. There are several reasons we may choose to deny your request to foster with us. These reasons include, but are not limited to: misleading or failing to provide accurate information on this application, negative references from veterinarian and/or personal references, lack of permission from landlord/property manager/homeowners association, rescue animal meeting current pet(s) is unsuccessful, inappropriate match of rescue animal to family, applicant name found on a “Do not adopt” or "Do not foster" list, etc. Completing a foster application is not a guarantee that you will foster the animal you are applying for or any other animal for NARPS.
ALL QUESTIONS MUST BE ANSWERED EVEN IF SOME ARE NOT APPLICABLE TO YOU. OTHERWISE YOUR APPLICATION WILL NOT SUBMIT. IF NOT APPLICABLE, SIMPLY INSERT N/A.
