    Policies & Procedures
  • Parents & Sessions

Respectfully, we do not recommend parents to sit in on sessions. This allows for the most succesful progress! You are more than welcome to sit in the hallway with open ears to listen in. Keep in mind, children can behave differently knowing a parent is watching. Siblings are not welcome in session rooms, we ask that they remain in the front sitting area, as they are generally distractions to the student. We also undertand that every child is unique and different! Please talk with us so we can individually meet those needs. We are happy to accomodate to make our students feel safe and special.

  • Student Safety & Food Allergies

The safety of your child is critical and very important to your tutor and us. Please inform your teacher if someone different will be dropping off or picking up your child. Also, please let us know of any food allergies that your child may have. We do occasionally bring treats.

Please include all people who will be dropping off/picking up your child and their phone number.

  • Payment Policy & Options

Tutoring fees are paid on a monthly basis at the beginning of each month, and are to be paid in the full amount. A late fee of $10 a day will be applied if not received by the specified due date on the invoice. If you are mailing in a check, please email to let us know.

  • Attendance & Makeup Policy

We understand that life happens — illness, school demands, and family schedules can occasionally interfere with planned sessions.

At Study Hall, your child’s time is intentionally reserved and staffed to support consistency and meaningful progress.

    Regularly Scheduled Sessions

Every family will confirm their sessions for the month, every month. Please be sure to confirm accordingly!

    • 24 hours’ notice is required to be eligible for a makeup session.

    • Makeup sessions are offered as availability allows and must be completed within the same calendar month.

    • Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) and no-shows are not eligible for makeup.

    • Illness-related absences may be considered for makeup when possible but are not guaranteed.

If a makeup session cannot be scheduled with your child’s regular teacher, another qualified Study Hall teacher may provide the makeup session.

If Study Hall must cancel a session due to teacher illness, emergency, or scheduling conflict, families will receive either a makeup session or a full refund.

We strongly encourage families to maintain their scheduled sessions each month to support consistency and avoid conflicts.

    Intensive Programs & Special Offerings

Due to the limited-capacity and structured nature of our Intensive Programs, Camps, Pop-Up Events, Girl Talk, and similar specialty offerings, makeup sessions are not available.

Enrollment in these programs reserves a dedicated space for your child, and staffing and materials are planned in advance.

Missed sessions for any reason — including illness, scheduling conflicts, or travel — are not eligible for makeup, credit, or refund.

If Study Hall must cancel a session within one of these programs due to teacher illness, emergency, or scheduling conflict, a makeup session or appropriate adjustment will be provided.

Consistent attendance allows us to provide the highest level of support for each student, as well as planning and support of our incredible team and family of educators and teachers!

Thank you for your support and understanding!
