    Policies & Procedures
  • Welcome to Study Hall

We’re so glad your family is part of Study Hall. These policies are here to help us keep sessions consistent, safe, and supportive for every student we serve. Please take a few moments to review the information carefully so we can work together to create the best possible experience for your child.

  • Parents & Sessions

We respectfully recommend that parents do not sit in on sessions, as this often allows students to make the strongest progress. You are always welcome to wait in the hallway and listen from there. Please keep in mind that children may behave differently when a parent is watching.

Siblings are not permitted in the session rooms and should remain in the front waiting area, as they can be distracting to students. We also understand that every child is unique. Please talk with us so we can work together to meet your child’s individual needs. We are happy to help create an environment where our students feel safe, supported, and special.

  • Student Safety

Your child’s safety is extremely important to us, their teacher, and our entire team. Please let your teacher know if someone different will be dropping off or picking up your child.

Please include the names of everyone who may be dropping off or picking up your child, along with their phone number.

  • Payment Policy & Options

Tutoring fees are billed on a monthly basis and are due in full at the beginning of each month. A late fee of $10 per day will be applied if payment is not received by the invoice due date.

We accept cash, check, and credit or debit card payments. Please note that credit and debit card payments include an additional 4% processing fee. Card payments are made by request.

Study Hall is an approved ESA vendor. Families pay Study Hall directly first, and then may use the paid invoice to submit for reimbursement through ClassWallet.

If you are mailing a check, please email us to let us know.

  • Attendance & Makeup Policy

Consistent attendance supports student progress, and reserved session times are staffed in advance so we can provide each child with the attention and support they deserve.

Please review the rules below carefully:

    • 24 hours’ notice is required to be eligible for a makeup.

    • Makeup sessions are based on Study Hall availability and are not guaranteed.

    • Approved makeups must be completed within the same calendar month.

    • Unused or missed sessions do not roll over to a future month.

    • Late cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice and no-shows are not eligible for makeup, credit, refund, or rollover.

    • Illness-related absences may be considered when possible, but they are not guaranteed.

If a makeup is offered, it may be with a qualified Study Hall teacher other than your child’s regular teacher.

If Study Hall cancels a regular session because of teacher illness, emergency, or a scheduling conflict, the family will receive either a makeup session or a refund for that session.

Special Offerings: Intensive Programs, Camps, Pop-Up Events, Girl Talk, and similar special offerings do not allow makeups, credits, refunds, or rollovers for missed sessions for any reason, including illness, travel, or scheduling conflicts, because space, staffing, and materials are reserved in advance.

Thank you for understanding and for helping us keep sessions consistent for every student we serve.

  • Safety & Liability Release (Indoor & Outdoor Activities)

At Study Hall, we use a multisensory approach to learning. As part of this approach, students may participate in supervised activities both indoors and outdoors, including occasional use of our back parking lot for movement-based learning, chalk work, or hands-on instructional activities.

All activities are supervised by Study Hall staff, and reasonable precautions are taken to maintain a safe environment. However, participation in indoor and outdoor activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, trips, falls, contact with surfaces, or minor injuries.

By signing below, I acknowledge and agree that:

    • My child may participate in supervised indoor and outdoor learning activities, including activities held in the back parking lot area.

    • I understand that these activities are part of Study Hall’s educational model.

    • I voluntarily assume the risks associated with participation in these environments.

    • I release and hold harmless Study Hall, its owners, employees, contractors, agents, and affiliates from liability for injuries that may occur during participation in these supervised activities, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

I have read and understand this Safety & Liability Release.
