    2026 Sport of Horses Park
  • I hereby acknowledge that I have requested permission to participate in equestrian or other activities on the premises of The Sport of Horses LLC Park.  I have read and agree to abide by the Horse Park Facility Use Rules. I am aware that combined training and “eventing”, jumping, trail riding, conditioning, reining and all other forms of equestrian activities, including the teaching, training or coaching thereof can be hazardous. 

    WARNING
    Under North Carolina law, an equine activity sponsor or equine professional is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in equine activities resulting exclusively from the inherent risks of equine activities. Chapter 99E of the North Carolina General Statutes.

    In consideration for being permitted to use the facilities at the Sport of Horses LLC Park,  I hereby agree that I, my heirs, my distributees, guardians, legal representatives and assignees will not make a claim against, sue, attach the property of, lean or prosecute the Sport of Horses LLC Park, its landlord, directors, officers, members, employees or assignees, for any claim I now have or may hereafter have for death, injury or property damage resulting from my use of the facilities at the Sport of Horses LLC Park, whether caused by my acts of omission or anyone else’s negligence.  In addition, it is understood that any and all insurance that I have shall be primary. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I shall defend, indemnify & hold harmless the Sport of Horses LLC Park, its landlord, directors, officers, agents and employees for and against any and all claims, damages, losses, expenses and liabilities of every kind, including but not limited to attorney’s fees, in any way arising out of or in connection with my activities under this Agreement. This indemnification shall apply regardless of any active and/or passive negligent act or omission of the Sport of Horses LLC Park, its landlord, directors, officers, agents and employees.

     

    Emergencies

    Please immediately notify the Horse Park Office or a Horse Park office employee. If the Office is closed or no one is available, please use a Cellular Telephone to summon help by dialing 911. The Horse Park is located at 1755 Quakenbush Road, Snow Camp, NC 27349.

    Updates on activities and facility conditions are available on the website (www.sportofhorses.com)  or by calling the Horse Park office at (866) 800-0764 during regular business hours.

     

    I have carefully read this agreement and release and fully understand its contents. I am aware that this is a Release of Liability, a waiver of legal rights and contracts between me and The Sport of Horses LLC Park. I sign this agreement and liability of my own free will. I further acknowledge that there are no warranties either express of implied, concerning the facilities, events or activities at The Sport of Horses LLC Park.

  • We are a strictly NON-SMOKING FACILITY

    Driving Please Drive Slowly!  10 MPH only on all Sport of Horses Park grounds
    Safety Your safety, the safety of others and the safety of the horses is a prime concern at the Sport of Horses Park.  Approved riding helmets are highly recommended for ALL riders at the park.  Helmets and adult supervision are required for all riders under age 18.  Helmets and a second adult (mounted or unmounted) are required for any horse jumping, cross country or speed exercises. Using a “buddy system”, while riding in the park is highly advisable.
    Documents A negative Coggins test is required and MUST be submitted prior to or immediately upon arrival to any horse coming onsite. Additionally ALL guests must sign both the Release of Liability and the Park Rules PRIOR to using the facility
    Trails There are miles of access trails at the park.  We do not recommend riding alone and if possible, always take a cell phone with you.  Being a large property, you may run across coyotes, loose dogs, deer, etc. of which could cause an accident. Be aware that animal holes, rocks, loose dirt, trees, steep inclines, logs and barriers exist on trails and this may be hazardous to you, your mount, or your equipment. Ride aware…
    Alcohol Unless otherwise specified, alcohol on park ground is strictly prohibited.  Anyone found drinking on the premises, be it the arena, barn, stalls, course, etc. will have their membership revoked.
    Solicitation The solicitation of another trainer's clients or employees is not tolerated. Please be respectful of others and their business relationships.  All communication should remain social and not business interfering.
    Facilities The Sport of Horses Park tries to maintain clean facilities for all its members.  In retrospect, all members are expected to respect the property and maintain their areas
    Dogs/Pets Dogs must be kept on leashes at all times.  At no time will dogs be allowed to run free as this may cause an unsafe situation.  Dogs are not allowed to be tied near entryways or where horses will be passing by.  Dogs will absolutely not be allowed inside any arenas. No Dogs permitted to accompany a rider or riders while riding
    Jumping/XC No jumping ALONE anywhere on the property (this includes arenas). Riders, when schooling on the cross country course, MUST wear a safety helmet, protective vest, approved medical armband, and be accompanied by a partner over 18 years of age with a cell phone. USEA training level and above jumps are unforgiving. Do not jump these jumps unless you are experienced and accompanied by an adult ground person or another adult rider
    GENERAL
    • No unattended or loose horses - no unattended turnouts in the Round Pen!
    • No open flames, campfires or cooking (expect in designated areas)
    • Arenas and cross country course may be closed due to weather conditions
    • Only ride on the marked trails or marked open fields. When weather conditions exist that would compromise safe footing, please stay off grass fields and ride on established trail lanes. Bicycle riding is prohibited in the Park.
    • Close pasture and other facility gates behind you
    • Yield to Horse Park staff and equipment
    • Any and all photographs taken at the SOHP by a contracted photographer or SOHP staff are subject to being used in SOHP advertising and/or documents.
    • No unauthorized vehicles permitted on the course.

      

    Violations

    Please report any infractions of these rules by fellow members, boarders, trainers, or staff to the Horse Park office immediately.

    Any violation of SOHP rules/policies may result in the revocation of membership and/or removal from the property!

  • I acknowledge that I have read and understand the Horse Park rules. Furthermore I agree to comply with all rules and policies, and I am aware that I am responsible for following all rule/policy updates as they become available on the Horse Park website. I understand that violation of the Rules may result in removal from the property and the revocation of any membership to the Horse Park.
