    This form is the application to sell food, arts, crafts and services at the 2022 King Kamehameha Celebration Hoʻolauleʻa. Applications may be denied for reasons of duplication of food, safety concerns, prohibited projects, liability concerns or if your application conflicts with the intent of this event.

    ALL APPLICATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE KING KAMEHAMEHA CELEBRATION COMMISSION, ITS CONTRACTORS AND VENUE REQUIREMENTS. ALL DECISIONS ARE FINAL.

    Vendor Fees:

    $250 (Food)
    $150 (Arts, Crafts & Services) Items sold at Kapiolani Park needs to be either made, assemble, printed, created, or services offered in Hawaii.

     

    Application Deadline:  May 20, 2022 Product selection will be based on earliest applications submitted.
    Any applications received after this date will be based on products and space availability.

    Booths/Space:

    All booths/space is based on a 10’x10’ tent/area. You will need to provide your entire setup, such as; tent, tables, chairs, signs, warmers, sink, etc.…. that you will need to properly display your products. Area will be on grass and tents must be weighted down or stakes.

    Applicants must submit 1)insurance; 2) payments; and 3) health clearance/GET license (if applicable).

  •  Logistics

    Event setup time is between 8:00am and 10am. Please arrive during the set up time, as entrance and surrounding area will be busy. Check in prior to driving in as only a limited number of vehicles will be allowed in at one time. At the end of the event, all items must be taken out and area must be cleaned and vacated by 5:00pm. Vendors will be allowed to drive into venue to drop off during 8:00am and 10:00am and pick up after 4:30pm or when it is deemed safe to drive into venue. Aftewr setup vehicles will need to be removed and park in stall provided. Vendor fees wiil include one pass for one vehicle in designated parking area.

    Food Vendors

    Food Vendors will not be allowed to sell any beverages (Soda, water, juice & alcohol). Butane and propane gas stoves may be used, however be sure it is away from anything flammable and well ventilated. For the safety of the vendor, customers, and venue, a fire extinguisher will need to be provided near any open flame or heating element. You are responsible for providing your own electrical needs and trash bags. Please ensure that all trash bags are tightly knotted to avoid spillage and not to heavy that it can be carried and tossed into the dumpster. A dumpster will be provided to dispose all trash near the main entrance.

    All food vendors will need to provide their own sink for washing hands only. Dirty water is not to be disposed of anywhere through out the venue, except in a designated draining area. Please assure your workers wash their hands periodically to assure sanitation. A State of Hawaiʻi Health Clearance Permit is required to sell food. Vendors should have a copy of their Health Clearance Permit during the event. Late submission or failure to submit Health Clearance Permit may result in disqualification in space at this event. Please email a scanned copy of your Health Clearance permit to kamehamehaevents.com by Friday, May 27, 2022.

    Arts & Craft Vendors

    Please provide your own trash bags and ensure that all trash bags are tightly knotted to avoid spillage and not to heavy that it can be carried and tossed into the dumpster. A dumpster will be provided to dispose all trash near the main entrance.

    Venue Use

    The following are not permitted: driving or parking vehicles in venue area during the event and possessing or damaging any part of the venue or facility, including adhering to all rules, regulations, and policies of the venue.

    Certificate of Insurance (COI)

    Vendor Insurance shall include the following; Certificate shall name "Kala Foundation". PO BOX 2416, Ewa Beach, HI 96706 and City & County of Honolulu as additional insured. Vendor must be named as the insured on the certificate and include "dba". Certificate must also include Certificate for Comprehensive General Liability, including products liability in the minimum amounts of $300,000 per occurrence for bodily injury an $10,000 per occurrence for property damage. Please email a scanned copy of your certificate to kamehamehaevents@gmail.com by Monday, May 30, 2022.

    Indemnification

    By participating as a vendor you agree to the following:

    To indemnify, save and hold harmless Kala Foundation., State of Hawaiʻi, King Kamehameha Celebration Commission, City & County of Honolulu, and all sponsors of this event, their officers, staff, and volunteers from any and all deaths, injuries, losses and damages to persons or property, and any and all claims, demands, liabilities therefore arising out of your concession to the person or persons suffering such loss, damage or injury. Any and all damage to the venue and/or facilities caused by you must be fully and completely restored within 7 days after the end of this event.

    Revocation

    Kala Foundation and The King Kamehameha Celebration Ho'olaulea reserves the right to deny space or to revoke this agreement if you fail to comply with the conditions for participation that appear elsewhere on this document.

    You also agree and understand the conditions of participation as set forth by the King Kamehameha Celebration Ho'olaulea and agree to adhere to those conditions. I hereby authorize Kala Foundation and the King Kamehameha Celebration Commission and Ho'olaulea to use the photographs and video footage taken of our organization, and my name, for use in the Commission’s printed publications, ads, website and any form of media. I acknowledge that since our participation in publications, media and website produced by the Commission is voluntary, and I will receive no financial compensation. I further agree that our participation in any publication and website produced by the Commission confers upon me no rights of ownership whatsoever.
