2020 Parade Safety Policies
Safety is our number one concern. Our goal is to keep spectators and participants safe throughout the parade route. In order to ensure that we have established a conscious awareness of safety for our participants as well as those watching the parade, each entrant must adhere to the parade safety policies. You will be responsible for managing and instructing all of the participants in your group. Violation of a parade policy can result in removal from the parade, ineligibility for parade awards and exclusion from the parade in future years.
ABSOLUTELY NO THROWING SWEETS OR ITEMS OF ANY KIND FROM VEHICLES. Violators are subject to having their items confiscated or removed from the parade.
For safety reasons, SWEETS and other items can only be distributed by individuals who are designated to walk along the parade route. The candy and other items should be handed to spectators.
All parade drivers must provide proof of a valid driver’s license.
All Parade vehicles must have valid current vehicle insurance. Any vehicle not insured will not be allowed to participate in the parade.
For safety reasons, trampolines are prohibited from the parade.
No water guns or sprayers are permitted along the parade route. All such items will be confiscated.
The height of an entry must not exceed 13 feet 6 inches (to avoid overhead wires).
The width of the entry must not exceed 8 feet 6 inches.
The overall length of the transporting vehicle and float should not exceed 55 feet in length.
Any request made by a St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee member to a parade participant, either in the parade staging area or on the parade route, must be acknowledged or obeyed.
The St Patrick’s Day Parade Committee assumes no responsibility or liability in the event of injury or accident.
I have read and agree to the Parade Policies. I will instruct my group of the Parade Policies. By participating in the parade, each member will be agreeing to abide by the Parade Policies. I understand that I am required to present a valid drivers license and proof of vehicle insurance for each vehicle at the time of the parade in order to participate.
