To apply, you only need to read and understand the PML Essential Overview Rulebook . The Comprehensive Rulebook is linked within it for full details, but the overview contains what you need for the application process.

What We Expect

Know the rules and the spirit of sim play, no exploits.
This is not a casual league, be ready to compete and contribute.
Stream all games and keep the archive for 7 to 14 days.
Create a scheduling thread within 24 hours of each advance. Advances are Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 10 PM EST.
Contribute content that adds to immersion.
Commissioner decisions are final. Current standards in Discord announcements supersede rulebook text.

NOTICE: Premier Madden League is a Member-Supported League

Since Madden 21, PML has proudly operated as a member-supported community through Patreon. This support model ensures the league is not only active, but also professionally managed and consistently immersive. Member contributions fund the features that set PML apart: our official website, advanced stat tracking through MyMadden, custom Discord bots and automation, podcasts, and the infrastructure that helps us maintain 32 active and competitive coaches every season.

Contributions go directly back into the league. They cover the costs of hosting, tools, and systems that allow commissioners to focus on delivering the most realistic and engaging sim experience in Madden. This support ensures that the league is stable, fair, and organized, with admins who have the resources to keep PML running at the highest standard.

Membership also connects you to the Coaching Carousel, our unique waiting list and engagement system. Even when a team spot is not immediately available, Carousel members remain active by participating in content creation, tournaments, fantasy contests, and podcasts. This keeps the league competitive and guarantees that when a team does open, it goes to someone who has already shown commitment and involvement.

Our waiting list grows each cycle because members know they are not just signing up for games, but for a professional, stable environment where everyone contributes to making the league stronger.

Since Madden 22, PML has operated with a Coaching Carousel system, giving waiting list members an active role in the league right away once they pass their tryout game — no more sitting on the sidelines for months until a spot opens.

Carousel members can engage with the community, create content, earn content points, and contribute to league immersion while awaiting a team assignment. This ensures that new coaches are already invested and contributing before they ever step into a franchise role.

While in-season openings are rare, they do happen. In addition, at the end of each season, the league runs its own version of a coaching carousel, just like organized football. Coaches who show poor activity or weak compatibility with league standards may be rotated to the waiting list, creating opportunities for engaged Carousel members to step in. Commissioners also review competitiveness and involvement throughout the year to keep PML operating at a consistently high level of immersion.

Streaming

Every PML game — including tryouts and even matches against the CPU — must be streamed live. We strongly encourage using YouTube (720p or higher) for best quality and reliability. When you begin your tryout game, stream it live and post the link in the Discord tryout channel as soon as it starts so commissioners and members can watch.

If you’re accepted into the league, we'll automatically set up your streaming channel with our Discord bots, which will announce your games to the rest of the league. This helps keep the league engaged and lets others tune in easily.

If streaming causes lag or isn’t possible due to connection issues, you must inform your opponent well before the game starts — waiting until you’re already down by 14 points in the first quarter is not acceptable. Record and post after your game if you cannot stream.

For Twitch users: make sure you enable archiving under your Channel settings so past broadcasts are saved automatically.

PML is cross play.
We advance every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 10 PM EST, playoff and offseason advance timing may change to keep the league on track.
Stream every game, tryout and league, aim for 720p or better. Archive your streams for 7 to 14 days. At tryout kickoff, post your live link in the Discord tryout channel.
After you join, your stream alerts will be set up on our Discord bots so others can tune in easily.

Play real football, mix plays, target at least 10 passes and 10 rushes per game, avoid exploits. In blowouts, use chew clock and sit key starters.

Do not chat in #general or DM your opponent while you are playing unless there is an emergency or glitch that requires communication.

CONTENT

PML is a content driven league. Members help build immersion with league content or team-focused media like articles, highlights, videos, and podcasts. The goal is simple, add to the league story in a way that is fun, respectful, and useful for the community.

How content works

Post on our league site using your member login. Commissioners review each submission and award content points for effort, quality, and impact. Points scale with the time and care put into the piece, and exceptional work can earn extra at commissioner discretion.

Examples that count, game recaps, team news, film study, mock drafts, interviews, podcast clips, short and long form videos.
Group projects are welcome, one member submits and tags the others so everyone is credited.
If credit was missed or feels off, use the claim option on the post to request an adjustment.

Point use

Content points can be spent on in-league items that fit our sim focus. The main use is Attribute Requests for coachable skills. Position changes are also available after the free window early in the season, and some roster actions may require points. Details and any current costs are posted in announcements.

Not allowed, physical traits are off limits, Speed, Acceleration, Agility, Strength, Jumping, Hit Power, Throw Power.
Allowed, coachable skills like Awareness, Catching, Return, Deep Route Running, Deep Throw Accuracy, and similar.
Requests are submitted on the website and processed with commissioner oversight. Edits are logged and visible for transparency.

Standards

Keep it immersive and respectful. No personal attacks or private info.
Quality over noise. Constructive contributions help the whole league.
Regular participation is expected throughout the season.
