STEM Industry Council Intern Host Questionnaire
Thank you for your interest in Columbus City Schools STEM Industry Council.
We are a group of community partners who support the development of STEM professionals from Columbus City Schools. Internship partners host interns for a paid six to ten week summer internship for a minimum of 120 hours. Host partners provide a work-space, committed supervisor and meaningful work throughout the internship period. Interns are assigned a SlnC job coach who visits the site regularly. Students are paid $10/hour in a cumulative, tax-free amount at the end of the internship period.
By hosting a intern, companies directly impact the lives of urban youth in pursuit of college and career success. In addition, host companies play a vital role in developing the workforce locally and contribute to the larger effort to develop and retain local talent. Moreover, companies are able to establish relationships with students that could result in many years of employment in the future. Student success lies in community partnerships with businesses like yours. Please consider supporting us through:
