Aloha Parents,
We are so excited to share an incredible four weeks of fun and playful education rooted in joy, harmony, respect and sustainable living practices. This year we will be exploring the body senses: sight, smell, hearing, touch and taste! We will experience "being in the body" through dance, movement, mindfulness, art and connection with the natural world. It is sure to be an expansive summer that continues to ignite our minds while "Exploring the Body Senses."

This year we are adding an application component to the registration process. We have learned from past years, that students are more likely to flourish and learn if they give voice to why they want to be part of Summer Arts. This program brings incredible Professional Artists/Teachers to our youth here on our Northern tip of the Big Island. We feel it is important to emphasize the great privilege it is to have these kind of opportunities. Together we can support our youth to recognize, value and appreciate these awesome learning experiences. This year, we would like to have students answer a few questions voicing why they would like to come to Summer Arts, and also hear from you, the parents.
Please continue below and answer to the best of your ability. Don't fret, you can add information at any time by emailing or talking to me directly. Thank you for taking the time to be thorough. We look forward to an amazing and growthful time together.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Mahalo.
All the best,
Michal Anna Carrillo
