2020 MINI WORLD YOUTH DAY
Welcome to the Mini World Youth Day registration page.
Below is the full registration process. If you have any queries, kindly contact the Registration Team:
The team is available: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 08h00 – 16h00. You can WhatsApp these numbers as well.
Kindly take note of the following:
Pilgrims are young people between the ages of 15 and 35 years. All those above the age of 35 may register as Clergy, Religious, Youth Coordinators & Chaperones.
Pilgrims below the age of 18 years of age need to be accompanied by a Chaperone. The Chaperone must be 25 years or older, responsible person and be approved by Parish Priest. S/he can only chaperone up to 10 teenagers under the age of 18 years. Before a group registers any under 18 year old, arrangements should be in place to have such a person attending the MWYD. A form will be sent to groups with this age group to be signed by the Chaperone, the parent/guardian of the pilgrim and the pilgrim.
Pilgrims can register in groups. Groups are either from Parishes, Deaneries, Diocese, Associations, Sodalities, Movements, but correct information is required and the registration team will verify the authenticity of the information submitted before a group leader is approved to continue with the registration process.
A group leader cannot register two or more groups under his/her name, otherwise, the registration will not be approved and the system will charge you a full fee each time you add your name to a group or repeat a name. This is meant to avoid having one person leading a large group and losing control of it.
Groups of 15 must have at least two responsible adults. Groups of 25 must have at least 3 responsible adults. Groups of 50 must have at least 5 responsible adults. Adults must be above the age of 25.
Step 1: Group leader registration
The group leader is required to manage the registration on behalf of the group. He/She will register by filling in the form with his/her details and submit.
With that, he/she will receive an email notifying him/her of his/her provisional registration and to await Identity verification before proceeding. Identity verification will be done by checking the authenticity of the information submitted with the MWYD diocesan coordinating team.
If the group leader's diocesan coordinating team confirms the validity, his/her registration will be provissionaly approved and he/she will receive the second email with a link to proceed with registering the pilgrim in his/her group. A reference number will be inlcuded in the email.
Step 2: Pilgrims Registration
The registration will allow groups of 15 or 25 or 50 pilgrims(excluding the group leader). If you choose a group number you will be given exactly those number of spaces to add your group and the form will not allow you to send if it has fewer people. If you repeat names, you will have to pay for each name that you added.
If your group consists of less than 15 pilgrims(excluding the group leader), your group will have to join another group to register, either another parish/deanery within the diocese.
If your group consists of more than 50 pilgrims, the excess number of pilgrims will have to join another group. As a group leader, you may contact the diocesan MWYD coordinator for assistance with joining groups. See link for contact details (http://miniworldyouthday.com/contact/)
Details that will be required for each pilgrim will be ( Name, Surname, Age, Gender, Parish and T-shirt Size.)
Step 3: Payment Confirmation
After completing the pilgrims' registration, you will have to confirm registration and that will lead you to the Payment confirmation details. Choose the payment plan, either one Full payment or 2 payments(50% deposit and the final payment). If all the details are correct you will proceed by completing the registration.
As the group leader, you will receive a registration confirmation email with an Invoice Attached to it. You will have 14 days to make the payment, either the 50% deposit or full payment, based on your Payment plan selection. Use the reference number when making payment.
If no payment is made by the due date, the registration will be canceled, and you will have to start all over again with the registration process.
