Bandaging Angels in-house CPD provides training on the latest in wound care and bandaging, from theory sessions to fit in around practice life, to full day sessions with or without practical workshops! All sessions include a review of your current dressing or bandaging choices, recommendations for standardisation and troubleshooting with your CPD tailored to your needs. We will also help you nominate a wound nurse who will be supported by one of the Bandaging Angels team to help you implement new ideas and improve the team approach. 'WOUND MANAGEMENT' - Single theory session - 2-2.5 hours - Covers Physiology of wounds, different phases of healing, best practice of wounds 'Prepare, Promote & Protect', debridement and best dressings to use for different wounds. The aim of the session is to help identify stages of healing and what dressings to use when.
'BETTER BANDAGING' - Single theory session - 2-2.5 hours - Gold standard bandaging covers; What is the difference between a dressing and a bandage?, The aims of bandaging, the consequences of a bandaging injury, the 3 forces that cause a bandaging injury, avoiding complications, materials and methods plus the use of layers.
'SKIN PREPARATION & WOUND LAVAGE' - NEW - Single theory session - 2-2.5 hours - This session includes a review of your skin preparation protocol from initial presentation to wound assessment. This is an increasingly popular subject that generates lively discussion which we will support with evidence based guidance with assistance for adaptation of your protocols.
SPECIAL OFFER - Double theory session - choose two of the above sessions to be delivered on the same day! Approximately 5 hours.
