  • The Basis and Purpose of Redwood Christian Schools

This document incorporates many of the principles and statements found in Articles    II-V of the By-laws of Redwood Christian Schools, in addition to school positions based upon Biblical Truth.  In an effort to continually keep before us the goals and principles that guide Redwood, this document is required to be read and signed each year by all of Redwood's employees, selected volunteers and board members.  By so doing, each such person is declaring, in writing, his or her unconditional support for and acceptance of these principles and statements.
  • The Volunteer at Redwood Christian Schools

Being a volunteer at Redwood Christian Schools (RCS) is a matter to be considered with utmost prayer and thought. We desire individuals who are thoroughly committed to Jesus Christ and the ministry at RCS. Please read the following items and then, if in agreement, check the box in front.
  • Specific Procedures and Volunteer Conduct Form

  • Volunteers minister to children and families at Redwood Christian Schools (RCS). Their work requires that they serve in a variety of positions. Therefore, the following list of procedures has been compiled which addresses volunteer conduct. These procedures apply to all assignment areas. They are to be read and signed by all volunteers at the time they are assigned to a volunteer position.

The conduct of RCS volunteers interacting with RCS students may be completely innocent. However, it could possibly be misinterpreted by someone as a misuse of their discretion and thus a misconduct to the children. Therefore, all allegations of misconduct must be reported to the volunteer’s supervisor. If the allegation is of a serious nature (e.g. sexual misconduct), then the supervisor and RCS are required by state law to report the allegation to the police.

It is very important that each volunteer understands that the following specific procedures are for the protection of both the children and the volunteer. These procedures are not all inclusive. If you have questions about any area of conduct, please contact your supervisor, administrator or the superintendent. After carefully reading the following, sign and date both copies in the presence of a school administrator. Keep one copy for your records.
