About Honorary Membership
The award is a means whereby the Association can convey its recognition of and appreciation to a nonmember for voluntary or paid service to BDQ or to a person of eminence who the Association wishes to recognise as an honorary member.
The nominee must have demonstrated a high level of ability, dedication and service over a period of a minimum of five years fulfilling and promoting the objectives of BDQ to its members and other industry groups.
If the ten years as outlined in the Rule of Association is achieved, the assessment should proceed. The assessment should be undertaken by four members of the management committee as appointed by the president.
Please fill out the below assessment criteria. Responses to the quantifiable questions in 17.2.4 shall be on the basis of Low, Medium or High scaled as follows: Low = score between 0-3; Medium = score between 4-6; High = score between 7-10.
If the nominee receives at least 83 points (or 75%) on the assessment, (as outlined below) a proposal by the management committee to nominate a non-member to this category shall be circulated to branches via the delegate.
For more information on the assessment criteria, please refer to the BDAQ Policy Manual.
