COMPUTER REPAIR/SERVICE AGREEMENT
1. DISCLAIMER
1. Jason’s Computer Repair will only perform and provide computer services, repairs, and upgrades as requested by the customer. We will conduct honest, reasonable, and considerate services. The goal is to provide the highest quality of service and support.
2. Computer service/repairs are provided as a service. All repairs are completed successfully and substantiated. Any malfunction(s) that may arise thereafter are subject to additional fees as explained below.
3. The length of time required to service/repair your computer cannot be predicted due to fluctuating workload and / or shipping times if parts are needed.
4. We strive to be able to provide an on-the-spot estimate to all of our customers, however due to the complicated nature of most modern electronics, we will often not be able to provide an exact diagnosis and cost until we open the device and examine it thoroughly. During the process, you will be kept updated as we have updates via text or phone call.
5. You authorize the technician(s) providing the service or repair to install anti-virus and any other necessary software including remote software (attended) on your computer to perform required services.
6. There may be circumstances under which your computer can not be repaired. It will have to be rebuilt or upgraded. (Examples: Age of PC, repair/replacement parts obsolete (memory chips, motherboards, etc.) In this case, you will be asked for approval before parts are ordered and installed.
7. We will not reinstall or warrant any software which has been identified as being unlicensed, illegal or pirated.
8. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage to your computer, liquid damage, power damage, "missing parts", misuse, or any other damage not resulting in the actual repair work performed. We will not be responsible for viruses, malware or other computer hardware or software failures that occurred subsequent to any repair.
2. WARRANTY
1. Computers and parts we sell and use come with a six-month hardware warranty. Repair labor on your system comes with a two-week warranty. This warranty covers issues that have not been caused by the user as described below. An extended warranty can be purchased. Repairs or replacement of such parts after warranty expiration can be provided for a fee.
This warranty does not cover any accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, heat, dust, damage by movement in transit, third party troubleshooting / repair attempts, software issues, Windows update issues, reinfection, static, moisture, etc. We are not responsible for your PC’s condition after the warranty time period.
2. If the system exhibits the same symptoms as when the system was originally repaired within the two-week period, we will repair the problem at no cost or issue a refund for the repair less any parts received. If during a warranty repair, additional parts are required to complete the repair, you are responsible for paying for such parts.
3. If after a repair or diagnosis, you experience problems which were not originally disclosed prior to the initial repair or diagnosis, the problem is classified as new and unrelated. If we determine the problem is unrelated to the repair or diagnosis we completed, this will be considered a new service ticket. If we determine the problem is related to the repair or diagnosis we completed, we will promptly resolve the problem to your full satisfaction.
4. Certain repairs, including virus removal and operating system rebuilds, often involve the removal of drivers, network keys and other software that might be required for peripherals. If the software required to ensure connectivity to the device is provided at the time of service, we will warrant and guarantee its functionality post repair. If, however, you do not have or fail to provide the software, it is your responsibility to reinstall said software and/or hardware drivers. We will, for an additional fee, assist in obtaining and installing the necessary drivers.
5. If we remove any viruses from your system or perform optimization services and you are satisfied upon completion of the service, the sale is final. A refund cannot be awarded if you have the virus removed or a tune-up, and subsequently re-infect your system or experience new unrelated software issues that cause system slow-down at any time after service is complete. Although we do add virus protection to your computer in certain cases to help keep your computer protected, we are not responsible for your PC’s protection or user behaviors subsequent to such services.
3. DATA RECOVERY
1. You understand that in the process of working on your computer equipment, we will make every attempt to save your data but that there is a potential for data loss. You agree that you have made the necessary backups of your data so that, in the event of such loss, the data can be restored. We will not be responsible for data loss. In addition, we will never view / change any personal data (images, videos, documents, etc.) unless you ask us to do so for the purpose of data backup or restore.
2. Due to the very nature and complexity of data recovery, data recovery services are exempt from our guarantee. However, if we are unable to recover any data, you will not pay for such services. There is a fee for services rendered if specific files are needed yet not found on a device due to the wrong device being brought in. If you wish to have a refund for our data recovery service because we were unable to recover specific data, yet wish to have what we successfully recovered, you must choose between a full refund and receiving no recovered data or receiving what data we recovered and paying the service fee.
4. BILLING TERMS
1. Computer services/repairs are billed as stated on the invoice provided. Charges will be calculated at a flat rate per job (not hourly) and you will be notified before repairs are started.
2. In the case that you cannot be reached, work will stop until contact is established. Once reached, your decision to continue or stop will be honored. Decision to complete repair cannot be reversed after repair is completed.
3. Any equipment left behind longer than 90 days is assumed abandoned and becomes property of Jason’s Computer Repair.
5. RETURN POLICY
1. Items that are shipped are eligible for return within 14 days. Buyer pays return shipping. With a few exceptions, we will reimburse you for returned items in the same way you paid for them. If you prefer, you can make an exchange for the same item.
2. Reimbursements on returns lacking proof of purchase may require an email address, may be denied or limited, and state sales taxes and fees will not be reimbursed.
3. Items must be returned with all accessories and packaging. If you do not, we may either deny the return, or allow a return with a nonrefundable deduction on your refund for what is missing.
4. Items need to be returned in a like-new condition. Items that are damaged, unsanitary, dented, scratched or missing major contents may be denied a return. If items are damaged upon return, no refund can be issued unless it is damaged through the shipping process in which case a claim can be opened and resolved through the courier.
6. PAYMENT TERMS
1. Full payment agreed upon is due upon completion of services, hardware/software, upgrades, or repairs and payment on invoice indicates satisfaction of service. Payment for high cost parts and labor is due before parts are ordered and before labor is completed unless otherwise stated. In the event that parts are ordered and should you decide to cancel the repair after parts are ordered, you understand and agree that you are responsible for the cost of parts if they cannot be returned and/or return shipping and/or restock costs.
2. If we complete a diagnosis of your system and you choose not to repair it, you are responsible for the diagnostic fee of 49.00 at time of pickup. If we have started work on your computer that requires disassembly / reassembly and you wish to stop work and pick it up before diagnostics are complete, you are responsible for the diagnostic fee of 49.00 for work done at time of pickup.
3. In the case of remote computer repair, your computer will be assessed, cost will be determined and payment is due and secured before work is started. If you computer cannot be repaired, a refund can be issued. All terms and conditions above apply.
4. In the case of website development, half payment is due at the beginning of work and last half due when work is completed. We retain the right to take down the site if payment is not received.
5. We accept cash, Venmo, CashApp, Paypal and all major credit card payments.
I hereby agree to the above terms within this agreement and authorize Jason’s Computer Repair to perform services/repairs as stated in the service order.
