• CLOCK TIME ENTRY/CHANGE APPROVAL FORM

  • Time punches are a legal record of an employee’s time worked. An employee’s time punches must never be adjusted, except when it is necessary to correct a time punch that does not reflect the actual hours worked by the employee. Changing time punches in order to avoid legislative breaches, overtime payments, and other entitlements is unlawful, fraudulent conduct and is considered unacceptable by McDonald’s.

  • In the event that a manual entry for an employee’s time punch is required, and this is entered more than 8 hours after the time of the punch, the Manager on shift must complete this approval form and have the employee authorise the clocking. All occasions that require a Manager to change a time punch entered by the employee will require authorisation from the employee.

  • Managers should read and understand the Clock Time Entry/Change Guidelines, which sets out the acceptable reasons for entering or changing an employee’s time punches.
