Who: This hands-on and immersive farm camp is tailored towards the interests and abilities of campers entering 3rd through 6th grades.
*K-2 campers may also participate with an adult chaperone present.
What: Campers will be given opportunities to cultivate their curiosity by planting their own pumpkins for harvest in the fall, caring for famous farm animals, interacting with state of the art agricultural technology, daily games, crafts, skill-building and more!
When: Camp will run from Wednesday, June 10 to Friday, June 12, 2020, from 9:00am to 3:30pm daily. *Wrap-Around care is available. See below for details.
Where: “Beyond the Barn” Camp will take place at various locations on Farmamerica’s 120-acre exploration site. Farmamerica, 7367 360th Avenue, Waseca, MN 56093.
Why: At Farmamerica, we exist to connect people with the evolution of agriculture from past to present. We want people to better understand how agriculture has shaped and continues to shape our everyday lives by providing our communities with food, fiber and renewable fuels in a more sustainable manner than ever. Campers will be able to learn and understand these concepts by participating in experiences unique to Farmamerica that help to provide a comprehensive look at just how important agriculture is.
