Deadlines

May 31 for travel between July 1 and December 31

November 30 for travel between January 1 and June 30

Deadline dates are firm and will not be extended.

We will work with you if there are exceptional circumstances based on the timing of the trip.
Background Information
Students are eligible for only one OCENET Bursary during their time as a student of the OCDSB.

If you have already received an OCENET Bursary you may not apply again.

Bursaries range from $250 - $1,000 per student. The size of each bursary is variable due to many factors including the cost of the trip, demonstrated need and the number of applications received each funding cycle. We have a set amount of funds available for each cycle.

If your study abroad opportunity is cancelled, you will be asked to please repay the amount you received to the Education Foundation. You will be able to apply again for a future study abroad opportunity.

Please submit one letter of recommendation from a member of the Community (teacher, guidance counsellor, coach, etc.) This letter should reflect the purpose of the bursary, support your application, validate the financial need for your application and include the reference’s title/position and original signature.
