Ways & Means Rules for Hours/Donations

These count as W&M hours toward your requirements:

• Hours spent planning or working at a W&M Special Event
• Items purchased or in-kind donations given for the W&M Special Event to take place.

Enter in field “W&M $ purchased”, the hours will be calculated at $10=1hour

These Do Not count as W&M hours toward your requirements:

• Purchasing a ticket to attend a W&M Special Event
• Purchasing items from W&M Special Events i.e., candles for sale, Valentine Baskets, raffle tickets, auction items, etc

Date Entered should be:

• Philanthropy Projects - date you are "working on/or at" the project
• Standing Club Committee - actual meeting date or date “working on/or at the committee project” (example - Mbrshp could have NMB date)
• W&M Special Event – actual meeting date or date “working on/or at the special event” (example- could be date decor group met or date of event)

DONATIONS
PURCHASED ITEMS
One hour credit will be given for each $10 spent for new items donated for
Philanthropy Committee projects and collections. In-Kind credit is also available for the cost of dry cleaning used coats for JCCB, etc. In-Kind credit may be applied toward the Required Service Hours obligation.

GIFT CARDS & CASH DONATIONS FOR
APPROVED PHILANTHROPY COLLECTIONS
One hour credit will be given for each $10 donated to a Philanthropy
approved collection by either gift card or cash/check. To be counted for
hours the donation must be made to the project chair within two weeks of
the collection date. If a check is written it must be made payable to JCYM.
If a gift card is donated please mark the amount on the gift card.

USED ITEMS
Used items are not eligible for In-Kind credit. Philanthropy specific tax
donation forms will be available when used items are collected.

MEMBER-MADE ITEMS
The project chair will consult with the Philanthropy Chair to determine the
appropriate number of hours that will apply towards the required service
hours obligation for all member-made donations not listed below.

CRAFT/FOOD CREDIT HOURS
Submit hours into the online form “JCYM Requirement Input”

(all cost of materials are included in the below calculations)
Batch/1 recipe = 2 hours

Fleece Throw 1 throw = 2 hours

Masks = .5 hour
