Everyone that will be sending texts must be signed up to use Spoke Rewired before a campaign request can be fulfilled or started. The link to sign up will be on the confirmation page and confirmation email you receive after you have submitted this form.

Important note about your first text
1. Texts over 160 characters will break into multiple billable segments, so try to limit your texts to 160 characters if possible, or the nearest increment of 160 (i.e. 160 characters, 320 characters, etc.).
2. Do NOT use public link shorteners (i.e. bit.ly or tinyurl.com).
  1. If your text contains a URL, please request a custom private DSA shortlink here. You must fill out this form unless if your chapter already has a private link shortener (i.e. bdsa.us)
3. Do NOT include links in your initial text messages. This will get flagged as spam by carriers and affect your deliverability. Instead, include links in followup messages or canned repsonses.
4. Do NOT use a direct Zoom link. If you are using Zoom, make this a registration Zoom link instead.
5. NEW: All initial texts must now include unsubscribe language. Please include "Text STOP to unsubscribe" or a variation of it. Click here for sample opt-out language.
We may ask you to resubmit your request if steps #2-5 are not followed.
What should the initial text message you want to send say? You can include {texterFirstName} if you want the texter's name filled in automatically and you can include {firstName} if you want the name of the person you are texting filled in automatically. Links cannot be included in your initial message. For example:*

Uploading Your File
Your .csv file upload should have the following EXACT columns in this EXACT case.:
1. firstName
2. lastName
3. cell
Uppercase and lowercase letters matter in your formatting of the above columns. If you need support to put your file in this format, please email orgtools@dsausa.org instead of submitting an incorrect .csv file!

If using OpenOffice: Please make sure your exported .csv file is separated by semi-colons and not commas, or else there will be an upload error on this form. You may need to "replace all" on the commas.
Please double-check your file and verify the following: I am submitting a .csv file in the exact format described above, with the case-sensitive headers "firstName", "lastName", and "cell".*

Important Note Before You Submit
After you submit, you will be provided with a link on the submission page AND in your email - this link should be sent immediately to anyone you want to text as part of your campaign

Due to repeated instances of texters not being set up in our Spoke database, we will have to deprioritize any campaigns where this step has not been followed

Your campaign will STILL be fulfilled by our amazing national Spoke admin team but if your texters have not signed up using the link, it will now create additional delays to your campaign launch

Summary: Please use the link from the next page to send to all of your requested texters and text THEM with urgency around setting up accounts!
