Optometry Camp Application 2020

The Kentucky College of Optometry invites you to participate in the KYCO Summer Optometry Camp that will take place at the University of Pikeville, Kentucky College of Optometry from July 14th - 15th, 2020. Up to 50 participants will be selected. Sessions will be held 12:30-4:00 pm Eastern Time remotely via an online platform.

This camp is to expose pre-health and pre-optometry majors to the profession of optometry by providing an interactive learning experience. Participants will learn about the application and interview process, and experience virtual optometry classes. Participants will also have the opportunity to interact with optometrists, current KYCO students, and faculty.

Underrepresented minority students and students from economically disadvantaged and under-served backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply This application is best completed on a desktop or laptop and not on a tablet or smartphone as you will need to upload files to the application.

The completed application must be received by July 3, 2020.

Write and submit 200-500 word essay that explains your interest in becoming an optometrist and in participating in the virtual camp.
