Thanks so much for your interest in teaching with the Prison Teaching Initiative at Princeton University! Please note that this application is for the 2020/21 academic year, not just for the Fall 2020 semester. This application will prompt you to identify the role you wish to play with PTI in the coming year, with the understanding that you will teach at least one semester and that if you are unable to teach in the other semester, you you will tutor with us instead.
Please make sure to fill out this volunteer application as completely as possible - it will expedite our review of your information. If you are a new instructor, please have on hand a copy of your current C.V. and copies of unofficial transcripts for any post-baccalaureate academic work you have completed. If you are a returning instructor who has completed further academic work since the last time you taught with us, please have on hand cop(ies) of the unofficial transcript(s) showing that work.
Additionally, please note that while we do not strictly require our instructors to be members of the university community, PTI was primarily established as a way for grad students and post-doc researchers to develop their teaching skills. Thus, we generally accept community volunteers only in exceptional circumstances (for example, when they have strong teaching credentials in an area for which we need instructors). Thank you for understanding.
If you experience any problems with the form, please email Tara Ronda, PTI Program Coordinator, at email@example.com. We look forward to meeting you!
