Tate Johnson from the Grantsville FFA Chapter is the son of Ed and Hollie Johnson. His advisors are Ed Johnson, Hollie Johnson, and Bekka Israelsen. Tate’s interest in leather work started at a young age as he worked alongside of his dad learning the basics. He started out making simple knife cases. He now fills many custom orders for belts, money clips, spur straps, chinks, headstalls, and other tack. He took a leather tooling class last summer that has helped him improve his skills to be able to tool floral patterns as well as other intricate designs. His work is always of highest quality and he has many happy and returning customers. He plans to continue learning, perfecting his talent and taking on new projects.
