Individuals recognized must currently reside or have resided in Kenosha County at the time of their call to service. Individuals must have served in the any of the following branches (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, National Guard, or Coast Guard) and must meet one of the following conditions:
• Currently an active service member
• Honorably discharged veteran
• Died in the line of duty
*Please note that proof of service will be required for all nominees. Copies of Military Service Verification Forms (e.g., Military ID, DD214, etc.) will be requested upon receipt of initial application.
Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis by a select committee at Harborside Academy. Once the information and payment has been processed, you will receive an email containing instructions on how to submit the supplemental materials (photo, release form, military service verification).
• Formal military dress uniform
• Full color 5" x 7" photograph minimum (returned upon request after banner installation)
• Full color digital image in jpeg format, minimum 300 dpi, provided via email, disc, or USB drive.
Banner sponsorship cost: $200 (includes printing, hardware, and installation).
When the application is verified and supplemental information and funding for the banner has been received, Harborside Academy will notify the applicant of their approval, create the banner, and request a time to interview the military member or family to learn more about their time in service.
**Neither the City of Kenosha, Downtown Kenosha, Inc., nor Harborside Academy is responsible for replacing banners that are stolen, damaged, or destroyed due to age, vandalism, or any acts of nature including high winds. Any loss or damage to an installed banner will be handled at the discretion of Harborside Academy.
