Aid to Artisans (ATA) is a division of Creative Learning, a 501(c)(3) organization based in Washington D.C. ATA creates opportunities for low-income artisans around the world to build profitable businesses inspired by handmade traditions. ATA offers access to new markets, business training, eco-effective processes, and design innovation through a network of partners to promote sustainable growth and community well-being.
ATA’s principal activities include a program of financial assistance in the form of small grants made to qualified craft producers. These grants are designed to permit craft producing groups to procure materials, tools and/or equipment, training, or marketing services in order for them to expand employment and generate additional income. Typically, these grants range from $500 to $1,500.
