Day 1: Overview of Hybrid and EV Vehicle Operation, safety equipment and PPE (Personal Protection Equipment), Equipment you require to service and diagnose Hybrid's. Day 1 will also cover HV Battery construction, operation and diagnosis including scan data and battery testing tools.
Day 2: Will cover HV Inverter operation and testing, Motor Generator construction operation and testing, DC to DC Converter operation and testing, resolver operation and testing, and transaxle operation and testing. Scan data will be used to monitor and diagnose problems.
Day 3: Will cover On Board Chargers operation and testing, interlock circuits function and testing, HV Isolation and Insulation system operation and testing, HV Electronics cooling, operation and testing, HV Battery Thermal Management operation and testing and HVAC Heat Pump systems operation and testing, and Regeneration Braking Operation.
Day 4: Tesla EV systems operation and testing. Building on the first 3 days we will look at Tesla Systems, how to access Tesla Service mode, Tesla components and procedures.
Technicians will receive both theory and hands on training on all systems listed including static and on vehicle training utilizing our in shop test components and fleet of 5 EV and Hybrid vehicles. Upon completion technicians will have the knowledge and skills required to deal with Hybrid and EV’s. Technicians will also receive a certificate of completion for their records.
