Participants must ensure that all the information submitted is correct and accurate. Participation under misrepresentation of identity or by substitution is prohibited. If there are any untruthful and unlawful acts, or reports confirmed to be true, The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups possesses all rights to terminate the grant recipient’s eligibility to participate and the grant to be awarded. The grant recipient must return all given subsidies. Participants are fully liable for any damages they caused to the organiser or other third parties.
Participants are fully liable for all information they provide or publish through this Programme and other websites. Participants should acknowledge and confirm to abide by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and those of the destination. Participants should confirm and promise not to, in any method, damage and interfere with this Programme’s website. Participants are prohibited from uploading or spreading videos, texts or pictures that are illegal, involve personal attacks, political or religious ideologies, include undesirable notions, or involve the infringement of copyright or of intellectual property rights.
Participants should agree that The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups has the right to remove the participants’ eligibility to participate if The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups considers the participants had breached the above terms. The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups will not issue any grants to the participant and will require the participants to return the received grants in full. The participants will bear all legal responsibilities on their own. Participants must ensure all submitted or uploaded items will not infringe anyone’s intellectual property rights.
The organiser has the right not to accept any proposals that are inappropriate or do not meet the required theme and format.
The organiser is not legally liable for any technical reasons arising from computers, internet connection or otherwise which cause delay, loss, mistake, indistinguishability or damage to information sent or registered by participants. Participants shall raise no objection.
Grant recipients must confirm their itineraries (including flight details and accommodation) one month prior to their departure in order to facilitate the organiser in making arrangements.
Grant recipients must, on their own, attain and complete all necessary documents or procedures required to visit the destination such as obtaining a visa.
Safety issues must be considered during designing of travel plans. Participants must, on their own, purchase travel insurance before departure.
Grant recipients must precisely follow and abide by the travel plans they had submitted. No changes to the theme or the content of the plan can be made without a specific reason. If necessary changes need to be made, participants must be proposed to the organiser for approval through written notice one month prior to departure. If travels plans are amended without approval from the organiser, the organiser has the right to demand the issued grant.
Grant recipients must complete the exchange diary and summary video after the trip two weeks after the trip. If grant recipients do not follow this regulation and duty, the organiser will demand the issued grant by ratio with regards to the severity of the case.
If travel plans cannot be executed due to force majeure and uncontrollable reasons (including but not limited to natural hazards / political instability), the organiser has the right to cancel, terminate, alter or suspend the programme.
The organiser has the right to publish videos, pictures and texts provided by grant recipients in different media, to retrieve, reproduce or alternatively produce them into multi-media works without acquiring prior agreement from participants. The organiser also has the right to interview grant recipients, publish a press release or video-type (including but not limited to the preparation for the trip, the process of the trip and reflections after the trip) in newspaper and magazines or other media. Grant recipients must cooperate with promotional events arranged by the organiser on a voluntary basis.
The organiser retains the right to amend the content of the Programme and sum of grants anytime without prior notice to participants.
To ensure fairness, staff members from the organiser are not eligible for participation in this Programme.
Each applicant can submit one application only.
In case of any discrepancy between the English version and the Chinese version of this statement, the Chinese version shall prevail.
