Thank you for your interest in telehealth visits. Please read our office policies for conducting telehealth appointments.
- Telehealth is not meant to replace all in-person appointments for medication management. Patients are required to be seen for an in-person visit at least once a year.
- Your provider has the discretion to determine whether to continue treatment by telehealth or not.
- Peace Psychiatry accepts and bills insurance for Telehealth visits. It is your responsibility to get prior approval for such visits, if required by your insurance. Each policy is different regarding benefits for telehealth visits; please check with your insurance to make sure telehealth is covered under your policy before scheduling a virtual appointment with us.
- You are required to notify us of any insurance changes and send us the updated insurance prior to your appointment.
- Self-pay telehealth visits for medication management/therapy appointments range from $150-$300.
TELEHEALTH POLICIES & PROCEDURES:
- Peace Psychiatry uses a HIPAA compliant platform; Zoom through AdvancedMD and Doximity as a back up. If the patient is unable to connect due to technical difficulties, then your provider may opt to use regular video calling through other platforms.
- Patients should received a text/email with a link 1-2 days before their appointment.
- Patients are required to use the videoconferencing at their appointment time. Checking in tardy, missing, or giving less than 24 hour notice of cancelation will result in rescheduling and a $75 fee for established patients.
- Not having Wi-Fi or having a poor connection with a data plan is considered missing your appointment.
- Minors are required to be accompanied by their parent or guardian for the length of the Telehealth appointment.
- Please update your payment card on file through the patient portal in order to pay for telehealth visits.
