PLEASE READ THE BELOW AS IT CONTAINS IMPORTANT INFORMATION!!
Completing this application is a step in the process to acquiring a puppy from Whispering Pines Farm Miniature Dachshunds. We want to provide you with a puppy as soon as possible. By signing and submitting this document, you understand and acknowledge it is a undetermined wait time for a puppy depending on what gender/color/pattern/coat type of puppy you want. I have no control over heat cycles, pregnancy, litter size, puppy gender/color/pattern and coats. Our estimated wait time is exactly that, my best estimate. I reserve the right to refuse any placement at any time. I also reserves the right to retain any puppy from any litter.
AVAILABLE PUPPIES: If you are filling out this applilcation to adopt a puppy that is marked as AVAILABLE, please disregard the information regarding our Deposit Holders Wait List. I have actually made the decision to do away with the deposit holders wait list as of 1/01/2024.
APPROVAL AND DEPOSIT: I will review applications as soon as possible. Please contact me if you haven't heard from me within 2-3 days at amywpfarm@gmail.com or 865-335-8573. Applications are processed in the order they are received. If your home is a good fit, I'll notify you by email. We maintain a Deposit Holders Wait list and that is how all our puppies are homed (until the waitlist is depleted of names). This list requires a $200 non refundable deposit. The deposit never expires and does apply toward the price of your puppy. The deposit must be placed within 24 hours of the approval e-mail. Deposits can be placed through Paypal using my email amywpfarm@gmail.com, or Venmo using @AmyWPFarmMiniDoxies. We also accept personal checks made out to me and mailed to Amy Terry 6000 Zachary Road Corryton, TN 37721
YOUR PICK OF PUPPY: Puppies will be offered in deposit order by the first preference of the depositor as indicated on the application. If none of your choices are available, I would not contact you. We ask that you make a choice within a few hours of notification since there may be other families waiting for a chance to choose. Should you elect to not take a puppy that is offered, that is perfectly fine and we will ask you to contact us when you are ready for a puppy. You will remain on our wait list in a hold status. Your deposit date will remain the same. I do post on my facebook page often and that is the best place to see updates from me on litters and other happinings here. My page is www.facebook.com/wpfarmdoxie. Please follow this page for updates.
GOING HOME: We cannot hold puppies for extended times (I do make a few exceptions when necessary - $10 per day boarding fee applies). If you have a big vacation planned or have events that would conflict with a young puppy, please know puppies cannot be boarded in a kennel until they have received their full immunizations and their rabies vaccination which cannot be done until 3 months of age.
CONTRACT: We do have our contract posted on our website. We will not release a puppy to leave without a signed contract. If you have questions about specific terms, you need to contact us prior to picking up your puppy.
SPAY/NEUTER: We require spay/neuter at or before 12 months. Your vet will discuss with you when the best time to schedule the spay/neuter depending on the growth of your puppy. When your puppy has the surgery, please send me a picture or screenshot of the vet record/receipt so that I can complete your puppies file. Additionally Any puppy from our home always has a home here, and will never experience the fear and burden of life at a shelter. Because we take cradle-to-grave "original home" responsibility for the puppies we created, puppies must be spayed/neutered.
REGISTRATION PAPERS: Our puppies come with AKC and or CKC limited registration papers. Full rights may be given to approved breeders for a $500 additional fee. I do not advocate folks who "would like to have just one litter" for whatever reason. While that may seem "fun" to do, there are a lot of risks to the dam and puppies. There are also a lot of expenses that can happen that people don't realize. It is best to leave breeding up to the professionals that have the knowledge and experience required to produce healthy happy puppies.
If you have questions regarding any of these terms, please contact me to discuss.
