Please allow additional response time for appointments from now until January 4th as many of our staff are out in observance of holidays. Our support line is available 24/7 if you need to speak to a counselor immediately.
Ampersand provides support to survivors of sexual violence and anyone who supports them. If you have a loved one who has experienced sexual violence, we are happy to provide you with support. We do not accept submissions on behalf of someone other than the individual completing the request. We are glad that you are here and that you want to help the survivor you care about. We can work with you to determine whether/how to discuss directly with the survivor the services we offer and how you could support them in reaching out to us. If you have questions, please call or email us.
We know that having to wait to see a therapist can be really hard. Because of this, we offer three symptom management sessions. During these sessions, you will meet with a crisis counselor or a therapist to discuss the challenges that you face in your daily life and work together to develop skills to help you cope until you can start seeing an Ampersand therapist.
We will attempt to contact you twice by phone. Please be sure to check for voicemails from us and contact us again if you have not heard from us within a week.
Due to confidentiality regulations, we are unable to contact you via email or texting. Please call our hotline at 859-253-2511 or go to RAINN's online chat or the National Domestic Violence Hotline's online chat.
We will try our best to reach you at a time that works best for you. If we miss you and we have your permission, we will leave a voicemail with instructions on how to return the call.
Please feel free to use our crisis line if you need anything before you hear back from us. If you do not hear from a counselor at the end of 7 business days, please call our hotline for an update on your request.
