This application is for the Eagle Engage Corps, a debt forgiveness and community engagement initiative for current and/or former EMU undergraduate students. Applications are received on an ongoing basis. If you have not done so already, please complete the FAFSA application here if you are planning on using financial aid.

Are you currently in good academic standing or were you at the time of your final enrolled semester (2.0 GPA or above and course completion rate 67% or above)?*

Are you able to enroll in a minimum of 9 credits (if needed for graduation/program of study) at EMU (typically 3 classes)?*
Are you able to complete 20 hours of extracurricular community engagement over a four-month semester? *

I understand that any amount forgiven will result in additional taxable income and EMU will file Form 1099-C Cancelation of Debt with the IRS reflecting the debt forgiven by individual for the year in which the debt is forgiven.
