Perth Tay Tennis Club Member Agreement

Welcome (for returning members welcome back) to the Perth Tay Tennis Club! We're happy to have you as part of our community. Before you hit the courts, please take a moment to review and agree to the following:&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;PLAYING BY THE RULES&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;By signing below, I confirm that I have read and agree to follow the Club Rules set out below. We believe in fair play, respect, and sportsmanship. If a member's actions go against these values, including by violating the Conduct Policy or disregarding the Town of Perth’s regulations relating to the Conlon Farm Recreation Area, their membership may be revoked or not renewed.&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;SAFETY & LIABILITY&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;Tennis is a fantastic sport, but like any activity, it carries some risks. I understand that by participating in club events (whether at Conlon Farm Recreation Complex or elsewhere), I do so at my own risk. I agree that the Club is not responsible for any illness, injury, or loss that may occur. I also understand the Concussion Prevention and Management Policy (see https://perthtaytennis.ca/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Concussion-Prevention-and-Management-Policy.pdf).&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;OUR MISSION&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;At Perth Tay Tennis Club, our goal is simple: to bring people together to enjoy tennis, while fostering a fun and welcoming environment for the community.&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;SPORTSMANSHIP & FAIR PLAY&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;I agree to abide by the Conduct Policy (see https://perthtaytennis.ca/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Conduct-Policy-revised-Aug-29-2024.pdf). We expect all players to demonstrate great sportsmanship on and off the court. If an issue arises that isn’t covered by standard tennis rules or etiquette, we follow the OTA Code of Conduct and Tennis Canada’s Rules of the Court to guide fair play.&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;CLUB RULES&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;To keep things running smoothly, we ask that all members follow these simple guidelines:&#13;&#10;* Other than social occasions, Club events are largely for members only—this includes leagues, tournaments, and drop-in sessions (including spares).&#13;&#10;* When guests do participate in Club events they are subject to a $10 guest fee. A portion of the guest fee may be applied to a new membership.&#13;&#10;* During non-reserved times, if all courts are in use and others are waiting, the group that has been playing the longest should kindly allow a group that has been waiting more than 30 minutes to take over.&#13;&#10;* Proper tennis attire and footwear are required on the courts.&#13;&#10;* Any planned events must be approved by the Board of Directors.&#13;&#10;By submitting this application form, I acknowledge and agree to the above.
