(*) Meet ACA deadlines. Students who fail to meet deadlines will not be allowed to participate in the dual enrollment program for that semester.
(*) Maintain communication with the ACA while in any dual enrollment program.
(*) Complete the New Dual Enrollment Student Participation Agreement and ACA Dual Enrollment Contract.
(*) Provide to ACA a copy of the college schedule upon class registration (must be received prior to the approval of the Funding App).
(*) Complete Dual Enrollment Funding Application by the posted colleges and GSFC deadline (must be received prior to financial aid payment). Please visit GaFutures to complete this step. Online submission will be available in March/April 2020. College courses will not be paid for and students/parents will be required to pay for all classes taken if this step is not complete.
(*) Obtain ACA approval BEFORE any changes are made to the college schedule.
(*) Dual Enrollment funding is available for the per term maximum of 15 semester or 12 quarter hours and a maximum of three semesters or four quarters per school year based on approved enrollment with a completed DualEnrollment funding application as long as the student meets all eligibility requirements.
(*) Dual Enrollment funding is available up to the student’s high school graduation or the 30 semester or 45 quarter hours Funding Cap, whichever occurs first. (see ACA website>Dual Enrollment>GaFutures FAQ)
(*) A student is ineligible to receive Dual Enrollment payment for courses not selected from the Dual Enrollment Course Directory.
(*) A student may not receive funding for the same course twice.
(*) A student becomes ineligible to continue to receive Dual Enrollment
funding after their 2nd course withdrawal. Course withdrawals prior to the Summer term 2020 are not included.
(*) Complete all required courses for high school graduation
(*) Seniors- submit the official college transcript to ACA by May 15th to be eligible for graduation and final transcript.
(*) Consult ACA before withdrawing from a college course.
(*) Understand that post-secondary institutions do NOT follow ACA or Independent Study/Hybrid calendars. Students are expected to meet attendance requirements and follow the schedule of the post-secondary institution for dual enrollment courses.
