All behavior modification training programs are approached differently and no two dogs are the same. Our certified dog trainer Kate's approach to dog training is to help teach the dog what we want from them rather than what we don't. Taking part in a new behavior modification plan with your dog is a wonderful commitment and takes a lot of consistency to succeed. Positive reinforcement is key to building a better relationship between you and your dog. Training equipment may be recommended, however not required, but no methods of our approach utilize harsh physical correction and we strongly advise against this approach.
There are lots of ways to work on teaching your dog good behaviors while you are at home and our Certified Dog Trainer can help! Whether you have a puppy, a newly adopted dog or an older dog with behavior issues, now is a perfect time to train! Once you have filled out this Virtual Behavior Consult Request, our Certified Dog Trainer (CDT) will contact you to book a session and help create a training plan for you and your dog. You will receive a Behavior Modification Plan, step by step handouts on specific cues you've agreed to work on and goals to attain each day/ week depending on the plan. Teaching your dog new behaviors and cues takes lots of consistency and patience to succeed and usually requires more than one consult. Video consults will also be available!
