    The questions and the adoption process are to make sure that the pup and family are really a perfect match.

    • The animals will be vaccinated, altered*, dewormed, and will be in compliance with health protocols at the time of adoption. An adoption helps us cover the medical and travel costs required to rescue a sato and bring it home. Please refer to the website for current amounts required.

      *For the puppies that are not old enough to be spayed/neutered (under 5 months), the adoption will not be finalized until said puppy is altered. You agree to pay a refundable deposit of $150 upon adoption. Toby’s Rescue will ensure the appointments are scheduled and surgeries completed before finalizing the adoption. The $150 deposit will be reimbursed upon completion of the spay/neuter.

       

      The adoption process includes completed Adoption Application, a phone interview, a house visit, and the signing of the Adoption Contract.

       

      The dog needs to be picked up within 24h of the Adopter’s decision to adopt him/her, after that daily boarding fees will be charged. Should the dog be returned to Toby’s Rescue within 7 days of living with the Adopter, Toby’s rescue will refund the adoption fee, otherwise the dog will be assumed to be ‘owner surrender’.
