Alpha Zeta Conference Bid form
Provide a brief description of the city/area that you are proposing to host the conference and why you feel the area would be an ideal location. Please include the nearest airport or train station.
Please include how many meeting rooms will be available, the size of the rooms: i.e. how many people will each room hold and the rental cost. Will all of the rooms be located in the same area, or will they be scattered throughout the building(s)? Also, make sure that a banquet room capable of seating 300 people is available.
Housing: Hotel or Dormitories
Include the type of housing available including the total number of rooms available, cost of room per night (if applicable), and the proximity to the convention facility.
Financial Resources support
Please list any financial resource support your Chapter can provide. For example: transportation to outside events, lunch or dinner sponsorship, meeting materials such as bags or t-shirts.
Upload a document with a list of potential tour ideas which are located in your area. For example: programs, crops or practices which are unique to agriculture in your area; new research taking place on your campus; industry. Other ideas of tours could include: natural landmarks, monuments or parks; places of historical significance; or areas of regional or cultural significance. It is recommended that tour stops be within a fifty-mile radius of the host hotel.
Please give a list of possible speakers and topics for both keynote addresses and workshop breakout sessions (Issues in agriculture, Professional/Leadership Development, etc)
Conferences are not all work and little play. Please describe what options exist for "let-down" time or groups social activities at your location. Remember, not all conference attendees are college students. Alumni often have different interests.
