Below you are going to find questions on all the aspects that you need to consider to have an Occupational Health and Safety Program that meets minimum legal and legislative requirements.
The answers are made up of one choice answers Either Yes, No, N/A
"N/A" (not applicable) is only used for a component that doesn't apply to your workplace, for example, if your company does not perform work with Supplied air Respirators or working heights.
If there isn't an option to mark a particular component as N/A, it means you need to have it!
D, O, I indicates which method(s) should be used for determining whether your program has the required component and based on audit techniques used by regulatory inspectors:
D = Documentation review
O = Observing the activity in your workplace
I = Interviewing applicable employees from all organizational levels
Once you have completed the gap analysis questions and hit submit you will receive a copy of the information, a report will be generated that shows what you still need to do to develop a compliant Health and Safety Program.
This will act as a checklist to help you to focus on the gaps in your program.
It also provides links to relevant resources for information on ways to improve your program.
Note: This checklist has been developed from information provided by the Canadian Center of Occupational Health and Safety, Legislative information and The partnership of injury reduction SECOR/COR protocols. Goal Zero will not share the results of your Gap Analysis with any third parties.
