1. Complete the details on this Claim Form 2. if you are Comprehensively insured, you should immediately lodge a claim with your insurer marked “Report Only”. This will protect your rights and will not affect your no claim bonus, if a claim is not activated. 3. Refer any communications from the at fault party or their insurers to our office 4. We ask you not to communicate directly with the at fault party or their insurer or their authorised representatives
5. I/We authorise Norton Lawyers Pty Ltd to:
i. Do all things necessary to conduct the recovery action including settling the claim on the proviso settlement covers all costs arising from the collision and I have no further liability to any person/s ii. Negotiate an agreeable cost of repairs directly with my referring repairer to facilitate settlement iii. In the event the vehicle is a Total loss I/We undertake, as the vehicle owner, to provide clear and prompt instructions to Norton Lawyers Pty Ltd iv. To take all necessary legal action reasonably required to recover all losses arising from the collision involving my vehicle and to further sign any letters of demand, consents, authorities and incidental documents required consistent with this authority v. Make payment to the referring repairer together with any other service providers for any expenses properly incurred and invoiced including and not limited to, motor vehicle assessor, rental car provider etc. vi. To disclose to my repairer, to the extent reasonably required and consistent with my instructions to act, any confidential communication with the insurer or any third party and waive my right to privilege thereto vii. I authorise Norton Lawyers Pty Ltd to receive and receipt all settlement monies on my/our behalf
